Valentine’s Day in the age of collapse

For the pending mushy holiday, I propose a couple of options: if you are in the Trenton NJ, Newtown-Bensalem-ish PA vicinity, come and see me at The Broken Goblet on Feb 15th! 4pm – 11pm on the 15th is the Darkside NJ Night Market, aptly titled “Til Death Do We Part”. You don’t have to buy anything from me, just come for the vibes. I hear it is an awesome venue.

If you’re not local or so inclined, here’s my Valentine’s project for folks with a backyard and no current wildfire/burn restrictions:

Some old tealights, arranged into a heart. That’s all.

This is cheap, and cute. I often find wax tealights and LED tealights at thrift stores & garage sales. I recommend putting the LED ones into small recycled glass jars, with the lid facing down. It’s cute on a dark February night, it’s romantic, and you didn’t have to consumerize.

Note: this idea is from February 2006. Two months later, I would find out I had breast cancer, and two months after that, thyroid cancer. Craig and I are still together & in love.
Cheap valentines are the best.
